We believe that Jesus the Christ and the Kingdom of Heaven are present within each person. We affirm that we are all spiritual beings, dwelling in a spiritual universe, governed by spiritual law through which we align our thoughts and lives to live fully and harmoniously. |
Our Founder
Bishop Dr. Barbara Lewis King, or Dr. Barbara as she is affectionately called, is the Founder of Hillside International Truth Center, Inc., a New Thought, inclusive, healing ministry open to all people, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Our Dean
"In the vastness of Spirit, who is the teacher and who is the student becomes indistinguishable." - Rev. Sedrick Gardner
Rev. Dr. Sedrick Gardner, Dean of the Barbara King School of Ministry, brings a depth of experience and study of New Thought practices to his role. Beginning at the age of 15 with reading Joseph Murphy's "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind," he has studied, practiced, and taught meditation for over 25 years. His meditations are grounded by more than five years studying with a Meditation Master, studies in Vipassana, Transcendental Meditation, and various other techniques.
Ordained as minister through the Barbara King School of Ministry in 2004, he has worked throughout the world, particularly in Africa and North America, to address aspects of the AIDS epidemic. He is also traditionally initiated by Zulu High Sanusi Credo Mutwa of South Africa.
He credits his daily meditation practice for helping him achieve positive results as he navigates through business, governmental, and societal systems. His meditation gifts are recorded as Guided Meditations, and have reached millions on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and Google Music. He has degrees from Duke University and Emory University School of Medicine.

Our Programs
Our courses help students attain or further their consciousness with a deep awareness that Jesus the Christ and the Kingdom of Heaven are present within each person. Our students accomplish this while honing their ability to communicate clearly, coherently, and logically. Students may take courses to deepen their understanding of New Thought teachings without desire to complete either study track.
For many are called, but few chosen. Matthew 22:14
